Kaweco's history dates back to 1883. Over time, there have been many different systems for filling fountain pens. While ink cartridges are now the most common, the piston mechanism allows the ink to be drawn directly from the bottle into the pen's integrated ink chamber. This makes ink cartridges obsolete.
The Kaweco Sport piston fountain pen is the smallest of its kind thanks to its ingenious and compact mechanism, which provides an excellent ratio of pen size to ink capacity. This iconic pocket fountain pen measures just 10.5 cm when closed and extends to a standard length of 13 cm with the cap posted. Its small size makes it ideal for use on the go and ensures a long and enjoyable writing experience.
The transparent ink window allows you to monitor the ink level at all times. If the ink runs out, the piston fountain pen can be easily and quickly refilled thanks to its exceptionally smooth filling mechanism. This filling system also allows the use of inks in an unparalleled variety of colours, as many ink colours are only available in glass bottles.
The matte anodised surface of the robust aluminum barrel is extremely durable and gives the pen a premium feel. The perfect balance between the fountain pen's weight and diameter ensures that the hand doesn't tire, even after extended writing sessions. The combination with gold-tone decorative elements enhances its functionality with sophisticated elegance, uniting traditional writing methods with the modern age.
