Manuscript

Formed as D Leonardt and Co in 1856, the company was renowned worldwide as the go-to company for nibs of all shapes and sizes. A merger with Hewitt & Co, led to the creation of the ‘Eureka Pen’ – now commonly known as a ball-point pen. A further merger with the Highley Pen Company in 1947 progressed their tooling and manufacturing processes by making pen nibs and pen clips in the heart of Shropshire before moving to an automated tooling system between 1970-1980. As the stationery industry continued to change into the 1980s, the company was restructured to form the Manuscript Pen Company which focuses on calligraphy products and school fountain pens. Since then, they have continued to exude the qualities that their forefathers ingrained into Manuscript Pen Company – quality, innovation and creativity in every single product.
